In connection with her qualified trafficking charge, dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was recently given an arrest warrant by the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC).
The removal of Guo through the PNP Custodial Facility in Camp Crame to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory was similarly approved by Pasig RTC Branch 167 in a four-page order.
The court decided that none of the charges against the accused in these cases are subject to bail, therefore none of them are allowed to post bail.
The Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as modified by the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 and the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022, has been broken by Guo and others.
She also has money-laundering accusations ongoing with the Department of Justice and a graft case filed before a Valenzuela court.
