Felix Reyes is the new chairman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), having previously led the Philippine Judges Association. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Reyes, 63, took the oath of office as PCSO’s chairman of the board of directors on Tuesday in front of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, according to the Presidential Communications Office.
Since November 2022, Reyes has been an acting member of the board of directors of the state-run company before being named chairman of the PCSO.
In his capacity as director, Reyes supported PCSO general manager Mel Robles in bringing legal action against companies that were purportedly engaged in unlawful online lottery activities.
From 2017 to 2019, Reyes served as the interim chief judge of Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70; from February 2011 to September 2021, he presided over Lipa City RTC; and from 2011 to 2013, he presided over Calamba City RTC. He presided over the Marikina RTC as a judge as well.
From 1977 to 1981, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Far Eastern University. From 1982 to 1986, he completed his legal education at the University of the East.
