The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported on Tuesday through spokesman Edgar Posadas that six people had been formally ruled dead as a result of Typhoon Aghon’s devastation.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. gave the order for concerned agencies to help Aghon victims before he left for Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday.
He gave his farewell speech at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City, saying, “Tuluyan kong inatasan ang DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development), DA (Department of Agriculture), DOH (Department of Health) para makapagbigay ng assistance sa lahat ng mga naging biktima ng Typhoon Aghon.”

Tuesday morning, as Typhoon Aghon continued to weaken and move away from Luzon, PAGASA lifted all tropical cyclone wind signals.
Aghon’s center, according to the state weather service, is projected to be 315 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, packing maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h in the center, gustiness of up to 160 km/h, and central pressure of 970 hPa based on all available data.
PAGASA declared, “At this time, no wind signal is hoisted.”
Aghon is the first cyclone to impact the nation this year, and the report stated that it is “unlikely to directly bring a significant amount of rainfall within the next three days.”
