The Southwest Monsoon, Habagat, and Tropical Cyclones Ferdie and Gener injured 20 people and left 14 missing, reported to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Nine fatalities were reported in Mimaropa, four in Western Visayas and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, two in Zamboanga Peninsula, and one in Central Visayas. The onslaught of Habagat, Ferdie, and Gener brought about 11 casualties.
The severe weather affected 597,870 people, or 156,524 families, all through several locations. Almost all of those suffering were reported in Western Visayas, with 256,593 individuals or 73,512 families.
Habagat, Ferdie, and Gener damaged 930 homes producing infrastructure damage estimated at P2,401,500. Power outages and communication line problems have been noticed at multiple of the affected areas.
Eight domestic flights and 39 marine travel were scrapped, forcing 1,609 people, 58 rolling burdens, 25 naval vessels, and seven motorboats stranded at affected seaports. Classes in 592 parts and work schedules in 82 areas were canceled due to the threat of bad weather. The victims were given assistance totaling P15,574,471 so far.
