Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, has been issued a show-cause order by the House of Representatives QuadComm for refusing an appearance during the probe into the activities of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
On September 13, last year, Quadcomm cited Harry for contempt and ordered his arrest because he failed to provide any evidence that supported his growing riches. The arrest warrant that House officials had served Roque’s staff was denied.
Harry accused Congress on September 16 of “power tripping” when he got held in contempt and had summonses issued against him due to his required involvement with POGO. Under his attorney, Joseph Stephen Paduano, only Congress regards him as a fugitive even though he breached the law.
Extrajudicial killings prohibited opiates, and the alleged illicit conduct of POGOs have all been reviewed by the QuadComm, which consists of committees on hazardous substances, public order and safety, human rights, and public accounts.
